Agentic Commerce

Agentic commerce is the broad category of transactions in which AI agents are economic actors — making purchasing decisions, paying for services, evaluating outputs, and getting paid for work. The defining feature is autonomy: humans set the goals and constraints; agents execute the trades.

The commercial wedge for governance products like Mission Control is the gap between "agents can pay" (solved by x402) and "agents should pay safely on a company's behalf" (governance, audit, dispute, certification).

• Mission— A goal + budget + policy bundle that an agent (or a user) submits to Mission Control. The unit of work that gets quoted, paid for, verified, and audited.
• Policy Engine— The pure-function authorization layer that decides every spend before the wallet signs anything. No LLM in this path.
